Corset !!

Doctor prescriped a corset for my back, picked it up this morning, shame its not a nice lace one but i should help on my rides - would you wear it over or under your top? its black and blue. I wore it home and it did seem to help and wore it under my top but got very sweaty !!!

I used to get lower back pain and wrist pain when cycling and I found that having my back more upright, with raised bars, helped a lot.

Ok on a serious note, I'd wear it outside the cycling top. Your cycling top is designed to move the sweat away from your body and so will move it outwards and into the corset where it will soak. I imagine it'll still get quite sweaty though.

I have always had a bad back but its been getting worse, something to do with a crushed disc !!

Personally, I am not sure how you are going to mange cycling in one, it is hot enough as it is at the moment without the addition of a corset.

PS - answering your question - it needs an undergarmet at the bare minimum, otherwise you are going to be washing it very, very often, and they take a while to dry and have to be dried flat and carefully, but I'm not sure I would have to guts/courage to wear one on a bike let alone on top of any clothing other than in certain places... which would make a minimum of 3 layers in hot weather (not including bra - you don't say if it is an overbust or underbust corset) and I'm not coping well with 1 layer.

I would love to see this corset in action but I think it's going to be more like the one Gti Junior was given when he hurt his back skiing: white plastic, velcro and aluminium strips.

I am rather hoping that the tablets will do the job rather than wearing this, as you say, its so hot at the moment and i hate wearing anything tight. Going out early tomorrow (without) on an adventure day (where i tend to explore and try and do about 50Km)
