Where I now live going to "The Tavern" is a sure sign of alcoholism. At the tavern you can drink in a medieval dark atmosphere with your car parked a block away, alternatively you can buy a case at the supermarket and drink till you drop in the privacy of your own home (the Canadian way) which in the UK would be the definition of an alcoholic. So I hope you guys keep at least some of the pubs so that when I come over I can be nostalgic, except for the price.

Na hang on just a cotton-pickin' minute. The article says: Enterprise Inns, Trust Inns and Wetherspoons, as well as airports, Premier League football clubs and cinemas.

This means supplies of pasteurised Euro-wee, not proper beer. I doubt of the dray drivers for real brewers like Joey Holts, Moorhouses or Copper Dragon will be involved in that silliness.

The nation may be safe after all.....

Or Wobbly Henry come to that, but that's just silly juice

I had to go and google her. Is it just me or does she look a bit like a horse?
It says Heiress. Can I assume she is some talentless rich kid who gets her mug in the red tops a lot?

As for beer. Homebrew is the answer.

Yes she does. Yes she is and yes she does.

She's heir to the Hilton Hotels chain/fortune/whatever.

And the worst DJ ever.

British brewing seems to be in pretty good shape at the moment. The likes of Thornbridge, Marble, Kernel, Magic Rock, Brewdog are knocking out some fantastic brews. I drank a fantastic St Petersburg from Thornbridge on draught last night.

Incidentially, none of these brewers produce real ale according to CAMRA's somewhat outdated notions.
