Count to 30

I have been thinking of a simple campaign to help drivers be more patient with cyclists, and other drivers.

'Count to 30' -- are they still holding you up?

From what I've noticed, when I need to take primary, or even if I'm in secondary, I rarely hold up a driver for more than 30 seconds.

What do you think? Could it work?

What makes you think that they will be patient enough to count up to thirty?

you can cycle a long way in 30 seconds, much further than a driver has patience for. sometimes when i get left hooked i count from the time the car hooks me to the time i clear that junction, usually it's never more than 3-5 seconds. i think 10 is more reasonable than 30.

I think "Count to 10" works well. And as a phrase, it is often used with the idea of telling people to calm down, so... good idea!

Or even be able to count up to 30?

I think even count up to ten would be sufficient.

ahahaha, my friend and i experienced some supreme idiocy by the crosspool tavern on the a57 coming into sheffield yesterday, where we took primary coming up to a set of lights to avoid being closely overtaken, so the driver decided to accelerate to pass us before the lights except there was no where near enough time to do so; the result being that we were forced across to the gutter due to this terrible driving and to cap it all of the total self-gratification artist turned left about 10m up the road after the lights, wtf!?
