Before repairing, assess how old/how many miles the cassette and chain have done. If more than a couple of years, may be time for replacing as well. Then how much for a new, same quality rear wheel?

This will give the maximum cost for getting back on the road. Then balance this against labour costs, cost of tools, convenience and confidence in your existing wheel.

Can be a difficult choice.
