I don't envy what she's going through right now. I think it's harder for celebs than non-celebs as she found out what was going on the same time we did, knowing the whole country saw her perceived humiliation. You feel stupid enough when you find that stuff out, but to have it displayed to the world must be just mortifying!

Couple split up.....not big news, happens to thousands every day, many of whom have kids and extended responsibilities.

Sorry, can't sympathise as Cheryl isn't a friend of mine or even known to me. I'm sure she will cope better than your average wife (with whom I have far more empathy) who has found her life is literally ripped apart by some cheating piece of excrement.

I am sure most women in this position would give anything to be able to "jet off" to L.A to escape the "reality" of life then come home to their £6million manor in surrey to get over it all whilst we all send them messages of support and advice....and pay them a bonus for the pleasure of doing so.

we live in a bonkers world where we all somehow feel like we should help and sympathise with "characters" that we have no relationship with (and little likely-hood of ever meeting) while we ignore those closest to us.

well i had a really bad time when i split with my ex a couple of years ago, and no amount of money will mend how she's feeling, so you can't knock her just coz she has a nice life style. you don't get away from a broken heart just coz you're in another country, you just get away from the press and seeing it in the tabloids everyday. I'm not celebrity obsessed but i do feel a bit sorry for her... but glad she's finally grown some balls and seen him for the prat he is.

There is that... I wonder how easy/difficult it is to remove a large tatt from the back of one's neck without it being painful & disfiguring?
