happily lying in bed last night, suddenly massive cramp in the left calf. Limping around today like an old limpy thing. That's it really, oh apart from the fact that I got less than zero sympathy from wifey

The last time I had cramp I was on the fixed spinning down the descent into Lighthorn at about a 150 rpm cadence, my right calf cramped.

Not sure inhaling gasses under the bedclothes is a good ideaStick your head under the bedclothes and inhale your own CO2; the cramp will disappear in seconds. My physician friend thinks it's because the CO2 acidifies your blood.
