crank brother cleats + spd pedals

Hi all first time I have ever started a thread

might seem like a bit of a stupid question as im not an expert on mtb im more of a roadie.

i have crank brother egg beater pedals on my mtb with the cleats that came with them on my shoes, i do some spinning sessions and the spin bikes take spd cleats.

would i be able to use my crank bother ones or are they totally differant ?

I have some SPD ones in my drawer here at work and looking at them I'd say their shape is different to the Crank bros ones so I don't think they'll work (or at least they won't clip in and out as easily)

think i might just buy a set of spd cleats if there not too badly priced

I can confirm that eggbeater cleats do not fit Shimano SPD, nor the other way round.

As already said, they are different.

and they are not the same either.

you'll need to change pedals or buy another set of shoes and cleats.
