crash and burn

After 4 miles of my commute I crashed and burned. Nothing left in the tank, zip, nada, empty.

Managed to get through the next 12 to home, but god they hurt. It's been a while since that happened.

Knackered this evening.

Legs turned to jelly, no omph, no energy to give it any more. I ate well through the day, usual food to keep me going and give me what I need to get home ready for dinner. So it was a slower than normal trip home.

Did you go flat out for the first 4 miles or something?

It's been warmer than we're used to recently, but I'm surprised you hit the wall like this. Hope you're not going down with something.
