I went for a ride on the canal tow path this evening. I don't know what sort they were but these little birds kept running across my path before diving into the water. There were a few chicks about, i cycled carefully to pass them but one insisted on running in front of me. After quite a few yards i decided to get off my bike so that it wouldn't keep running away. It stopped then went into some hedging. The question is will it be able to find its way back to its mum? It must have ended up about 20 yards from the others. Please don't tell me the rats or foxes will get it!

Did you know that at the westerly end of Oswaldtwistle there's an old mill stuffed with bits of dismantled Chryslers? Apart from the body shells there's enough there to build youself many of every model of Chrysler. I bought an inlet manifold for a friend in South Africa once - amazing place.

Yes they will get back together. As soon as you get past it will head back where it came from and will be located by its chirping.

You can rest easy in your bed now.
