That second one could have been nasty.

At least one of you was paying attention!

People are ALWAYS doing this to me!

I don't understand it - they seem to rely only on their ears to check for traffic!

I haven't actually got a bell so can't use that (note to self - get on fitted)... but the other day a woman was running along the pavement clearly about to just run out!

I shouted (not v.loud) "Don't just run out!!"

She stopped and didn't run out which was definately what she was going to do - she already had a foot on the pavement... then she proceeded to give me a mouthfull of abuse!!!

She told me to "calm down" and "not speak to her that way"!!

I said to her "okay then, next time I will just cycle straight into you - bye bye!" and went on my way!!!

Crazy!!!!

Nearly hit a ped earlier this week, people in the city centre are getting a bit silly - not just around cyclists but buses too.

Incident 1 - coming off a roundabout, signal to turn off. Lights running and a specialised ion jersey on thats bright yellow... daylight too. 3 peds waiting to cross but walking down the chicane paint, two ran out I brake and swerve right thinking the third was going to run and had to just come to a stop in front of her. She looked a bit miffed/angry, so I said given the circumstances and how her friends had acted I didnt know exactly what she was going to do.

Incident 2 - taking the bus yesterday because my knee is injured. Stand at the front ready to get off, driver approaches a red light and it changes green as he slowly gets to the first ASL line. Doing no more than 10 mph these two lads (early 20s I'd say) just run right in front and he has to brake. Green cross code was mentioned.
