Riding home from work and my Trek started creaking.

When pedalling it creaks so i thought id stop pedalling to see if it still creaks and it did, the road was a bit rough/bumpy, ive read that when pedalling and it creaks it could be the BB, but i stoppped.
The bikes only 5 months old and ive done about 800 miles on it, so surely the BB should be fine.?

Any ideas.

Ahh you have a Domane. Try standing up and pedalling, if it still creaks then it's either:

Forks (unlikely)
Wheels (again not likely, however I've had a creaky steed before caused by a QR Skewer, so check they are tight)
Saddle (Is the rail clamp tight??)
On the domane because of the Isocouple I'm not sure if that needs a spot of oil try it....

Cheers for the reply.
Im off work sick atm so i cant go out on it, but ive just sat on it in the garage and pulled the front brake and sort off bounced on the bars and it creaked from the front maybe the headset area, but it might just be the tyres gripping the painted floor, i tightened the hex key on the cap a bit but it still happens.
I also tried both feet on the pedals and bounced up and down and no noise at all, i then hooked it up to the turbo and no creaks again.
I tightened up the rail clamp.
When you say oil the Isocouple whats the best way to do that ?, and is Finish line Teflon grease ok.

I dont think its the BB because it still creaked when i stopped pedalling.

I've had a new creak recently - (not the old bones!!) - thought it was from the top cap being loose. It turned out to be the stem clamp - not excessively loose but just enough to cause some creaking.

My bike was creaking from exactly the same thing, from the front, but everything was tight to the correct Newton force. I changed the wheelset and it went away. I put the original back on and it came back. I then changed the QR and it stopped. This maybe the cause for you, but if you can try it, it could be the impacts and flexing causing the Skewer to creak.
