I guess it's easier to get interesting lighting effects on plants rather than landscapes, and since I generally do landscape tourist tat, my contributions here are plant-based more often than not.

Spring cliche alert. Local woods that I’ve only been to a couple of times but the wife always goes on about going there as a kid to see the bluebells. I’ve never seen anywhere with this many before. The light was kind in mid afternoon, I might try to get up at sunrise or sunset before they go and take my camera instead of the phone

I've certainly been plant based too, having not found too many landscape scenes very inspiring lately. Been a bit knackered to chase any sunset type stuff.
Bluebelling too.

Obviously my bike tat goes over in general MBIFO threads, but don't tell anyone over there how uncreative they are. Sssshhhh!

(It might be my only claim to fame that I started the 'MBIFO' acronym... and yes, it's an acronym, as I pronounce it like the leader of an opposition party in African politics.)

Following some advice on a Facebook group I did some reprocessing of my Milky Way shots from Friday night. This is just a single sky frame blended with the foreground but I've managed to recover a lot more detail and colour from the sky using the curves and tonal wheels. I've tried to keep it fairly natural looking whilst bringing more out. The original is far more what the eye saw although this one would probably be close to what you would see with the naked eye in a really dark site (although there is a lot of light pollution on the right side from Swansea). I'd welcome thoughts on preferences as I know opinions are divided on whether photos should represent what you saw versus being a form of art especially on this type of thing. I prefer this edit and hope it hasn't gone too overboard (I see loads of MW images that make me want to vomit, the same as with sunsets).

For my taste, the revised edit appears to be an improvement over the previous version and looks great. Maintaining a somewhat natural look for the foreground while enhancing the Milky Way to be more pronounced than its actual appearance, would be my choice, if I could actually do it. Even NASA colourises and boosts their images. Ultimately, edit to your taste.
If you can extract a similar amount of detail from each of the original 24 shots, then stack them, would that reveal even greater detail in the Milky Way section of the sky?

Yep, I might try to sync the edits across the other frames and see what it gives. I find the processing the most challenging part but I guess that was even more the cased in the days of film. At least everything now is non-destructive and you can see what you're going to get.

Liking the new version.
I also think copying & pasting settings across multiple shots would help.

This Iris was a cutting taken from my late mums garden a few years ago & has grown well in the corner of our front garden.
Taken on my phone, tweaked the settings abit (had to goggle how to do this on a samung galaxy).
No editing for colour/contrast, just cropped it in a bit.
