Some George Stubbs in the evening light. I fed them a carrot each for all their hard work, which at first they didn't seem to know how to eat.

Creative-ish flower. Because gentians are so deep, I've never got a satisfactory one with enough depth-of-field. I had just enough distance/angle on this one to use a longish lens, and bingo.

The second one isn't quite as good IMO, but it does get the frilly centre bit in the sun

Hard to tell on this screen but, intentional movement blur giving the ethereal look?
I was thinking of doing something similar in the high winds but have been too busy to get the camera out.

The sharpness of the twigs would suggest otherwise... but maybe vintage lenses? Or just an artful eye...

It looks sharp enough on the original with no motion blur. That's the problem uploading them here, all detail gets blurry/soft (only 404Kb) especially with low contrast shots. I did try to get close to some ferns as a foreground, but there was too much movement in those with the shutter speed I had.
I think the green looks a tad yellow in the middle. Might do a colour tweak. ( Done. Desaturated it slightly)
