That’s truly creative and nicely conceived, although it appears you’re not all there.😆

I never was.

The idea was hatched back in May, when I posed with another one, and I thought it would be quite fun to do, and just needed the right place and someone else to do the snapping (though with a tripod I could have done it on self-exposure mode). With a bit more care I would have got the pose a bit more accurate, and turned slightly more to the centre to improve the light on me, but given that the gallery had several people in there viewing, I'd made enough of an exhibition of myself already.

Creative flowers/planty things this morning. I've discovered a different auto setting within the macro mode, and am having a bit of a play with that for the tiny stuff.

I shall have to see if there are any Topsham minifungi to train my micromacro gadget on. If it stays grey like it is today, that'll be a good recourse to stave off photographic boredom.

I’d imagine the OM would be good with the mini ones. I've just picked up a nice Pentax 50mm macro lens which might be easier to use than my other options.
It’s gone beyond grey here, so no mushrooms today, although the monsoon might ease in the evening. Beach maybe?🤔

The things that's perplexing me most about the new OM camera is just how inconsistent the colour balance is when on auto: it varies from quite acceptable to needing 100% increase in saturation and tweaking the colour balance, and I've seen no obvious pattern.

Just as a 'for instance', one I took yesterday to catch the beautiful red berries and luminous greens: before and after...

And unlike the Sony HDR, the HDR on this is virtually unusable, as although it reduces shadow contrast, it seems to do so at the expense of any reality of colour.

Re colour inconsistency, could the OM be shooting in RAW? As RAW files aren’t fully processed they require editing to achieve a desirable look.
Maybe it’s just the camera's inherent ‘colour science’ or purely a vibrancy setting. I personally don’t mind the muted colours, but if you are seeking colour accuracy, then it’s not ideal, especially if you don’t want to edit.
