I think the effect is fine, nothing wrong with lots of contrast, depending on the subject.

I might have been tempted to do something with the converging verticals, but again that's a matter of personal taste.

There is something about the contrast making it look over sharpened, I'd agree. I may tone it down somewhat but retain it around the people.
I wondered if the verticals would be picked up on. There are some converging lines but the pillars on the left do actually lean left to right from this side. 👍
Thanks for the pointers as I'm still going through all the shots from yesterday.

Tricky one - I think it you straightened up the pillars, the wall at the end, which is pretty good here, might have caused other problems. Not sure, I'm no expert on that kind of perspective correction.
