Cree XM-L T6 1300 lumens claimed

xml t6s are rated at just over 1000 lumen according to the cree tech docs, still plenty bright enough.

I don't think id buy from people advertising it as a 3000 lumen light on principle, even if they are as good as any other T6 light

whats the difference between the red and blue batteries? and can you use either?

Happened on my first one from ebay. So far the 2 I have bought from amazon have been fine, only time will tell. There was a thread I started before about this, where I've had some helpful advice on fixes, still not had time to try though.

Any idea where this thread is? I have 5 or 6 torches that need attention

Well i used it for the first time last night and went over some pretty big bumps and it didnt phase the light one bit, only time will tell if this remains the case though

I'm guessing when the light looses some power it automatically dims to the next mode (eg high to medium)? Do these batteries get better with a charge/discharge cycle?

Did these batteries come with it? Probably not very great, need something with bigger capacity such as 2400mAh or great I reckon. Running these torches on max will drain the batteries right down after 30mins if they do not have the capacity. I`m looking at some panasonic 3.1 or 3.4mAh jobs. BTW if you had two you can switch them both to medium or low and extend the runtime for double the light output?!

Yeah these batteries came with it, they are ultrafire ones, ran one battery on full power for 30 odd mins and it began to loose power, might just mean i have to charge it everytime i need to use it, commute is only 25 mins each way anyways. I would love rwo but not sure i have the handlebar space for two

I'm looking for two front and back small led lights that torchy had for attaching to my forks etc but he hasnt got them back into stock
