    Are you sure its creosote?

Modern fence stain does not contain creosote, you cant buy products with it in so it should just wipe off with a bit of white spirit, even a jet washer

Unless its something else apart from creosotexx(

depends if you like your neighbours or not. If you don't, tell them to use thinners, it will get the creosote off, only trouble is it takes the paint off as well.:biggrin:

You don't say? Well that's a bit of a bugger because, coincidentally, I've just poured the stuff over some bastard who cut me up.

White spirit, turps substitute, paraffin, kerosine, all roughly the same and all will remove it.

Finish up with a good coat of polish though as the solvents will strip all wax off the paint.
  7. Spray on oven cleaner takes sign writing paint off white vans, so it might work.
