So having bought the 16” wheel Micro version of the Cresswell folding bike (posted elsewhere in this section) and after doing a bit of research discovered that they made a 20” wheel version called the Fold-it.
Naturally I searched untilI found one at a very reasonable £95 and I picked it up this morning. It has much less twitchy steering than the Micro and rides like my old Dahon did i.e. it behaves itself. The Sachs super 7 hub gears are smooth and are adequate for most of Sheffield’s hills of which there are lots. There’s folk lore that Sheffield was built on 7 hills but no one can agree which 7 of the many hills they meant. The Micro will be donated to my son in London to replace the Dahon Jack that was nicked last week.
