Crinan Canal

Anyone know if the path has been resurfaced all the way from Crinan to Ardrishaig?

Last year they were resurfacing it at Crinan and they did quite a lot. Not sure if they've done it all the way though?

Yes it has been resurfaced.
At first I was very, very pleased with it. It was smoooooth tarmac. I started to wonder where my roller blades were

Then three weeks later they sprayed goo on it and sprinkled gravel and rolled that in. Now it is still nice, but rougher. I don't understand roadbuilding, I wonder why the gravel, it is done on roads too.

It was OK on my Virtual Lejog I once camped at Lochgilphead, the midges were horrendous.

This was the ride I took. I stayed on the other side (south) of Loch Sween. Wasn't about to cycle all the way to Ardrishaig or over on the other side to Loch Sween then to Crinan. NO chance!

Was going to cycle over the River Add at Bellanoch for a while, but decided to head back instead.
