Beats Hornsea hands down.... and Mablethorpe.
But Cromer IS a depressing place anyway...IMO of course.
Take any east coast town in that area, Hunny, Wells, even Skeggy, they all have something that will make a day 'ok'...i never found anything in Cromer worth hanging round for. Perhaps ive missed the best bit somewhere.
We had a similar problem on this side of town... residents couldn't park near their homes because people used these streets as the 'free' train station or city centre car park. So the council introduced resident's parking. Great idea, if we didn't have to pay for the privilege of parking outside or near our own homes. Yes resident's parking permits have to be paid for, but FPNs for parking violations alone could pay for those because there's now plenty being dished out.I'm not sure why parking should be free. When it was free in Lewes people just left their cars parked all day in the high street while they went to work, which meant no one else could use the spaces. There was a lot of predictable bleating when charges were introduced, but it meant a turnover in parking space users and it was always possible to find an empty space.

If you think Cromer is depressing, try going to Great Yarmouth.
I did.
Once.
Never again.
I think the same goes for any old seaside resort.... once a week or two in Spain or France became the more attractive and affordable alternatives, holiday makers vote with their feet and our side side resorts have paid the price.
How is keith?I remember Cromer from geography lessons at school, when we learned about the moraine.![]()
My favourite thing about Cromer is coffee and cake at The Rocket Cafe. one day I might be able to cycle out there from Norwich!!!
