Cross bike for commuting

I'm just waiting to receive my C2W voucher and am probably going to go for a Spec Tricross. Mainly for commuting and hopefully better able to tackle some off-road "short cuts" than a pure road bike.

I don't think that you'll go too far wrong with a Tricross-type bike, for the simple reason that once you've taken it off-road, for however far, it'll become addictive and you'll want to explore further. All I would suggest is that you try at least three or four different models for size before deciding on the Spesh.
