I can only say, all these puns are absolute Rott. While - er - I'm trying to think of better ones.

That is stretching it, as long as a sausage dog, dude...

The right choice of best in show this year.

At least peeps might start to recognise what breed our mutt is. ;)

I met one of these today! It was a lot bigger than I expected! I was delivering to an address in SE London and he came to the door with the owner and was all over me! He even bought me a shoe to play with. When I stroked him he leant against me and wouldn't let me go! Ever so friendly and very handsome looking beast. His owner said that they're 'very needy' and crave constant attention.

And the very next address I delivered to had a big black cat sitting on the front door mat who wandered down the path to meet me! She had a little patch of white on her chest so she was my 'vicar cat' for today!

A good day for friendly animals!

;)

If ours doesn't have a shoe in his mouth when greeting someone, he thinks that the next best thing is an arm or a wrist. Therefore, we try to keep a supply of shoes handy for ours to grab in preference.

Excellent!
I was very taken with the one I met today. What a great temperament and very handsome too.

He was very welcoming and his owner was obviously at ease with him and a stranger in the house.

I think I might have met one last week aswell down in the countryside when I delivered to a farm. He had a little bark while I was still in the van but as soon as I got out he came up to me and sniffed around and wandered off to sit in the sunshine.

I've been quite lucky so far with friendly dogs, but today's was the best with the shoe!

Friends have a pair of Vizslas. Gloucester and Stilton by name.

They came to visit and were a lot of fun. Very inquisitive, very energetic and good with people.

 ;) That's a breed thing too. Complete sun-worshippers, addicted to the smallest patch of sunlight.

That just about sums up why we got one... together with the short hair.

Mind you, there's a couple of times I've come home in the dark and I wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of one for long.

We got inquisitive about them about 5 years ago, there was one in the garden of a pub we were in and he was fantastic. Nosing around, saying hi to everyone, an ambassador for the breed. We did a bit of checking and the characteristics seemed to fit what we wanted.

Ours has been fantastic, everything they should be and more. The only downside was trying to persuade him that beds are for human occupation, so we gave up and he now has an old duvet on our bed which he sleeps under each night. Ruddy worrying waking up with his head sharing your pillow, I can tell you.

2.OK, the dog is allowed in the house, but only in certain rooms.
3.The dog is allowed in all rooms, but has to stay off the furniture.
4.The dog can get on the old furniture only.
5.Fine, the dog is allowed on all the furniture, but is not allowed to sleep with the humans on the bed.
6.OK, the dog is allowed on the bed, but only by invitation.
7.The dog can sleep on the bed whenever he wants, but not under the covers.
8.The dog can sleep under the covers by invitation only.
9.The dog can sleep under the covers every night.
10.Humans must ask permission to sleep under the covers with the dog
