There is a tv prog tonight about a mega luxury cruise ship.
I can take 3800 passengers .
My worst nightmare.
I admit they look fantastic and the food etc looks amazing.
I have known people that love it.....so I am not knocking it.....it just not appeal to me.

Would be my idea of hell since my ideal holiday involves getting as far away from other people as possible. I know quite a few people who have done the cruise ships as musicians. A good way to make decent money in a short amount of time

They sound awful to me. There is a couple in the village, I try to avoid, who usually do 2 or 3 cruises a year. Funny thing is they rarely tell you where they’ve been rather than who they sat with at dinner. Listening to them you’d get the impression the ship is full of solicitors, property magnates, chief constables and no painter and decorators ever on board.

Having never been on a cruise of any sort, I can happily indulge my prejudices to their full extent.

I cannot imagine anything worse than being in incarcerated in a viral incubater within a highly polluting steel shell containing what seems to resemble a cross between a giant shopping mall and a Trump casino for entertainment, stopping only to inflict brief misery on tourist cities unfortunate enough to have failed to have the prescience to ban these floating obscenities.

Off cycling and/or hiking again next summer.

My sentiments exactly! ;)

But, I have several acquaintances who absolutely love them.

Each to their own, I suppose.
