As the title says, on my commute home last night I was going up the final hill, Castle Road in Dudley by the Zoo, short sharp hill, so still getting used to my road bike I decide to drop to the bottom bars and push my arse back a little bit on the seat, slight pain in the nether regions and lower sore back, it looks like I caught my *cough* on the seat and pulled them while maneuvering back on the seat. Last stretch home was interesting, today Ive left the bike at home while I await the pain to ease off a little, so cautionary tail, beware the nads while positioning yourself on your steed !!!

Tuck them away - hence cycling shorts are essential. I hate cycling in civvies.

You can toughen yourself up in that department by beating yourself with a bit of 2x4, daily, before breakfast. Eventually you won't feel anything.

I might give this a bash but I will opt for the better adjustment first

I did this a while ago and my eyes watered reading this at the memory of it!

In my case it prompted the purchase of a new saddle and spending some time actually getting a decent position on the bike. I don't think I will ever forget the remaining 6 miles home that day though...

I think the worst nut-shot I've ever suffered was when I thought I was clipped in while bombing down some singeltrack, only to take a bad line over a slight drop-off, my foot unclipped on the downstroke and I landed squarely on the crown jewels. Of course, I lost control of the bike and we both went arse over tit bouncing down the path. That was painful! Knackered jollies and gravel rash to boot, plus picking pieces of flint out of one's leg is not fun!

I was on a pre op ward for 5 days whilst they decided whether to whip out one of my chaps after a seat /testi contact moment on Cannock chase. Fortunatley the anti biotics started to work.
Lost count of the number of hospital staff who dropped by to examine my man veg and then remark on the swelling
