Cryptic clues

It's interesting how our brains are wired somewhat differently

I used to love the logic puzzles that were posted on CC (was it @classic33 ?) and usually managed a fair stab at them

But I can't do any of these cryptic clues at all....not even close. When I see the answers there's a dawning realisation, but that still doesn't help at all with the next one

I did manage to create one cryptic clue once (not cycling related)

Edit: you cryptics wouldn't say that would you, you'd say something like "Boing said Zebedee, somewhat confused by success...5"
