Thanks for the feedback.

Did you really miss the whole Gangnam Style thing? The video has had 2.5 billion hits on youtube.

Ah, and I pronounce dance more http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/media/american_english/us_pron/d/dan/dance/dance__us_1.mp3 than http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/media/english/uk_pron/d/dan/dance/dance__gb_1.mp3 (thank you http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/)

My question mark was because of the dubious homonym and because there is no such thing as K-dance. Oh, well, I will try hard if I ever solve another one.

thanks!
There's absolutely nothing wrong with the elements K and dance - not getting that was ignorance on my part. It was the ''sounds like'' bit that misled me. (I may be being a bit picky here!)

Yes I really did miss the whole Gangnam style thing! I did google it but somehow didn't make the link between K-dance and K-pop!

Well I got the Sprinter one so here's one I thought of last night.

It started with strange brew. PM mistaken for bike part. (8,5)
Seems as if this one is too obscure - or perhaps its a crap clue! Hint: its music related and just like I managed to not have heard of Gangnam, some of you younger chaps may not have heard of this...

I'm a bit of a fan too

I wondered about the Strange Brew reference, but then I thought Naaaah, these guys are all too young for that!
Cunning definition - there I was, playing with the letters of brew.... It was only decades after first coming across the album that I discovered that Disraeli was a misprononunciation of dérailleur.[/spoilts

Pressed to stop showing a version of Mad Valley. (5,6)
Now, I have an answer that fits but I have no idea why it could be right, so I'll hold fire for a while.

Legend has it that it was Ginger Baker who said he had a new bike with them new-fangled Disraeli gears. I have referred to them as such ever since. It creates confusion at the LBS, who are all under 40.

Version I heard was that the band was travelling back fro a gig and Eric Clapton said he was thinking of getting a racing bike. The roadie (whose name I can't recall ) said 'Oh, Disraeli gears and all that'. After much mirth, Ginger Baker said it just had to be the title of their next album, Strange Brew, being the first track.Who knows. Its all apocryphal stories... but fun!

I think you're right. I must have misremembered.

By the way, I now have Blue Condition as an earworm, thanks to you.
