The 'Tooting Manoeuvre' as we called it when we lived there...
That was a little too close!Me and Gaz also narrowly avoided jumping a red whilst flying down there on one wet evening!
Clapham High Street is a cakewalk compared to heading west through Balham towards Colliers Wood, even muppet pulling out of a side road seems to think that little blue lane is in fact an extension of their giveway line so you invariably have to duck out of the lane to avoid the nose of their car! Last night I even had a ped just stand in there in the cycle lane staring at me as I was bearing down on them at a fair rate of knots....

There was a survey of major traffic junctions in London that looked at this one and others, it's been linked to beforehand but I couldn't find it just now. One thing it showed was RLJ-ing was predominantly non-rush hour behaviour.
That's the one, cheers. I see it doesn't mention Oval tho.

When do the gates close? I was tempted to do one and half a lap the other day but a colleague in the area said it's full lock down at dusk and at this time of year I would be in it well after dusk.Yes, did me a lap and a half of it, this eve. Didn't need full beam until 3/4 of the first lap (about 6:30>pm, I'd say). It's a nice relax and opportunity to get close to nature, after a hard day of graft!
