Cunk on Cinema - a shining light in the November gloom!

Is there a Hollywood movie out now with a similar idea? Jenna Ortega stars?

Anyway, I plan to watch "Ann", after hearing lots of good reviews. I initially swerved it, as mainstream TV tends to totally ruin neat SF ideas (this is partly my own problem, for reading a billion SF short stories as a teenager - they pretty much covered all the ideas!)

It successfully avoided the hackneyed "oh woe is me I'm a robot and I want to be a human, cos humans are a bit better" trope. I was afraid it would go down that route, and if it had I would have been throwing stuff at the telly.
