Following others recent posts, we found ourselves in a knobhead sandwich on Saturday.

Knobhead #1 (BMW...) overtook us with a dangerous close pass just at the start of the descent from Rushup Edge to Chapel le Frith.

Said descent is long, not too steep, and very fast - we were on the tandem and *averaged* 65kph for the 3km according to Strava. This was notwithstanding being held up the whole way by the BMW, who after the close pass promptly spent much of the descent unnecessarily on their brakes.

Nevertheless, knobead#2, (SUV...) was on their horn behind us during the descent, apparently wanting us out of their way(!)

What is in these people's minds is a mystery to me.

So I hope you recorded these incidents and sent in to Operation Snap.

Few years back me on bent tadpole and on single track road SUV behing and no passing places and he hooted so I stopped middle of the road, got off checked rear wheel, went back and asked him what the problem is as tooting somebody in such situations can be to alert them to an issue or problem so I assumed ... Then slowly returned to bent, re-checked rear wheel and laboriously started off again to next passing place.

Maybe he'll realise that hooting actually makes his delays a lot lot longer.
