Cycle path marker lights

Spose it depends on how good your local council is at keeping cycle lanes clear....

they don't have to last the night - the important time is the two hours or so after sunset.

We've got solar lights in the garden. They cost £2.50 each. They're been working fine after 18 months.

I can report I've still not cycled along that path in the dark ... but that they are still all in place a year later.

Exeter has a stretch ot them along the canal and though they dont throw out much light the path is clearly defined .

Some of the new style cateyes they've been putting on roads the last three or four years, if you put on a cycle path could mean you'd crash. There would be a real safety risk there. Only thing in their favour is they'd probably be at the edge of the path so considerably lower risk.

I like these marker lights, it's a good idea.

Had some installed around cambridge, there is a very dark unlit path I go on and they have def help with visibility. Also they are nice and flat so you don't feel them if you end up accidentally going over.
