grrrrrr you know those bl**dy cycle paths I love them and they are great as there's no cars but all too often I get f'in pedestrians walking in them when there's a pedestrian path in better condition and wider right smack bang next to the cycle path and it's all clearly painted on each path who it's for!!!!!! So WHY do these stupid beings walk on OUR road? And how do I get them off with out getting a punch?
sorry just needed to let off some steam
Cheers Ed

I use both but the pedestrians on the cycle path where they shouldn't be just annoys me!
Cheers Ed
P.S do you drive or cycle more?

Just ring your bell to warn them you are coming and most people, if civilised, will move for you to pass. The attitude that it's OUR road won't get you anywhere

Pedestrians are allowed to use the road, or the cycle path or the pedestrian footpath, even when they are marked up as separate. So pedestrian are perfectly entitled to be there.

I understand your frustration, but at least you are on your bike, you could be sat in traffic.

Just call 'cyclist' or hang behind them until they move. On my cycle home I use around 2 miles of cyclepath (This is completely segregated from any road and runs parallel to a railway), this often has young children on the way to school, people walking (occasionally w/dogs) and packs of velo bound kids. It's not the best but I'm happy people are making their own journey and not driving. The 30seconds you have to wait isn't anything in the grand scheme of things

i guess fair enough it's not too bad but why do they have the right to be on the cycle path when there is a ped path next to it that is much better?
do we have the right to cycle on the ped path?
Cheers Ed

when it comes to highways and byways... i think peds have a right to be everywhere but the motorway... makes sense when you think about it.
