Talk about giving cyclist a bad name, this guy deserves to be prosecuted. Most of us would never behave like that but unfortunately we all get tarred with the same brush...

Absolutely. You Scotsmen are all the same.

Had a few “monty python” moments up north regarding the “southern shandy drinking poofta” jibes –

One local in Preston told me that that “the only people we hate more than you southerners are those w***ers from Chorley.”

I was also told by a very drunk bloke in a pub, again in Preston, and whilst he was having a good go at strangling me, that “the problem with you ‘effing’ southerners is that you’re so ‘effing’ unfriendly” – I replied that he was failing to spot the irony in the situation – but I think my comment was rather lost on him…

But last night a police spokeswoman added that further investigations had been carried out using police CCTV.

weird that CCTV seems to catch cyclists but not motorists.

..... and then you will find taht in fact it is someone who is not a "cyclist" but someone who is riding the bike because they lost their license for driving in the same way as they used to drive their car.

The only difference is that had it been in a car it would not have attracted the same attention!

police said none of the three victims had complained about the incidents.

It's a newspaper, they are going to try and blow the incident up as much as possible.

There are many ways this could be read. Say for example, the cyclist came to a red light, but no one was crossing, and went straight through, then bumped into three people by acident further up the road, appologised, and they waved him on saying "it's ok, no harm done"

Or it could be taken as;

A cyclist sped through the town centre, and ran into three people at a pedestrian crossing, despite the light being red, then rode off at speed.

Remember it's a newspaper, trying to sell as much as possible, not some rightous campain to bring the truth to light.
