Cycle Routes In Fife

Hi Im new to cycling and was wondering where is a good and easy cycle route in fife both on and off road

Im in Kirkcaldy, but can drive or take the train anywhere, id ideally like flatish routes to help build my fittness up

Fife council do useful maps of the Kingdom cycle way and off road routes.

Alternately check out a site like bikely to get an idea of routes.

Along the coastal path from Kirkcaldy to Inverkiething is about the flattest close to you I can think of.

I've got an old copy of MBR where they did the Fife coastal path, looks great.

Hi Im new to cycling and was wondering where is a good and easy cycle route in fife both on and off road

I live near Cupar and can recommend the Loch Leven loop. Take Vane Farm as the start point. Big car park and cafe on the B9097 keeping the Loch on your left follow the road, left onto B920 (1.7 m) and left again heading toward the Gliding Club and on to Scotlandwell.

Join A911 and follow the road to Milnathort. Join A922 for Kinross, straight on through the town, out and past Gairney Bank. After GB left (13m) and back on to the B9097 to Vane Farm for tea and Medals.

Just short of 15miles some bonus lumps and plenty of cafe if you fancy a rest.
