ENABLE Scotland are thrilled to be able to offer you the opportunity for this exclusive ultimate cycle challenge. This July we are launching our bespoke Cycle the World in 24 hours challenge with none other than record breaking cyclist Mark Beaumont.
Do you have what it takes to cycle for 24 hours in a team or as an individual cyclist? We are looking for cyclists to come together on Friday 5th October at Knockhill Racing Circuit for 24 hours and attempt to cycle the world - 18,296 miles. This is no mean feat and takes not only physical stamina but also mental strength too. Teams of four and solo cyclist will compete in the only 24 hours endurance track event in Scotland at the fabulous Knockhill Racing Circuit, home to British Touring Bikes and Superbikes.
Team riders will, one at a time, take to the track for as long or as little as they wish, working as a team to complete as many miles as possible over the 24 hour period. Individual riders will challenge themselves, making this event inclusive for all levels of cyclists.
This is the ultimate biking challenge and sees teams racing day and night around the 1.3 mile circuit. The team with the most laps covered in 24 hours wins the coveted title and the chance to cycle the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
To take part register your team in the cycle zone on this website and keep track of your training programme and fundraising total. Registration is only £30 per person with a minimum sponsorship of £375. Once you have registered you will be free to update your profile and training information in the cycle zone.

Mark Beaumont did a time trial at Knockhill's British Touring Car Championships on Sunday 26th August to promote the Cycle the World 24hr Challenge for ENABLE Scotland. Mark's previous attempt saw him complete the 1.3 mile track in 3 mins 17 seconds and he was keen to achieve around the 3 minute mark. The crowd cheered him all the way round and Mark did fantastically well to cycle the Knockhill Racing Circuit in 3 Minutes flat.

There are still places available to take part in Scotland's first 24hr track endurance cycle. Teams and individuals are signing up by the day so don't miss out!
