Minor typo:
We don’t wish to give the impression that there’s anything inherently wrong with the braking systems on any bikes

Also, is a cx tyre really grippier than a road tyre? Certainly on loose surfaces, but not on a well surfaced* road. Otherwise a very good article.

*Yes, I know.

My C2W scheme has a upper limit of £1k . The only problem is that the bike has to come fro Halfords. To start with I wasn't happy but the team at Halfords in Gloucester were very good. I ended up with a Boardman MX comp of which I'm VERY happy with. The other plus was the 10% free accessories of the value of the bike .

My testimonial might not be so good on the richer front...

Hehe I was debating that, but Ive spent more as biking has become a major hobby, just looking at someone only cycle commuting as I was would be richer.

C2W in that first year cost me £25 p/month bike vs £45 p/month bus (est as fares/passes have changed since). The cheapest now for the bus is still more than £50 p/month so for that, anyone on the bus now can still be at least £25 p/month better off.

Taking your bike to work is cheaper than taking your car, more convenient than public transport and faster than walking.

Also, if I may air a personal grievance, I don't like the phrase "improve your general wellbeing". It's the sort of thing alternative medicine types say because they're not allowed to claim any specific health benefits. Of course the alternative is to claim specific health benefits for cycling, but then you would need to be prepared to back them up if necessary. As I say, just a personal bugbear of mine...

Thanks, I've taken the 'general' out as it's not really needed.

Really sorry but you'll have to remind me what your real name is so I can proof your testimonial properly

Mikey Forester will do for this thanks.

What makes Cyclocross bikes great commuter bikes?
Cyclocross commuter bikes might be a new concept top many of our readers, but they’re a niche bicycle that is just as well suited to cycling to work as it is for it’s originally intended purpose.

And the apostrophe in that last "it's" is wrong too.
