A pal and I are heading off for a 4 day camp cycle around Barnstaple soon (fingers crossed for weather hoping for a break in the winds and rain coming up).

I've mapped a route on cycle.travel - one route for all 4 days. A counter-clockwise loop east and up to the coast, back via Ilfracombe, then another loop out to Bideford then Okehampton & back up to Barnstaple. Should be fun!
Last time I did a multi-day jaunt, I did individual maps for each day
Is there a way to break it down to separate .tcx files for my Wahoo, or should that simply not be needed?
(or maybe I make 4 maps again, one for each day....)

Next up...need to get kit together & check the mice haven't got into my tent!

If you put in overnight stops, there's an option to split it into days when you save the route.

I have only dabbled with cycle.travel and use My Route App (MRA) for motorcycle planning. If using MRA I’d be creating four separate routes and one of the whole journey.

I guess I should report back, now I am home!

We had an absolute blast, although there were some utterly tortuous hills, & yes, we pushed up a fair few 🫣
All in, over 200km with over 3,300m climbing (or walking🤪), with our bikes weighing around 35kg fully loaded 😱

The weather was amazing for the time of year - stunning views - & the overnight camping wasn’t too cold 👀

Couple of great pub dinners, although we arrived at one site too late to get anywhere for food & had to use our emergency dehydrated rations….not the finest cuisine 😂
A little bit of dynamic re-routing for a couple of days - couldn’t risk not getting to a pub for our last night, & even that was fraught with challenges when the one a mile up the road permanently closed 2 weeks ago - our site hostess generously dropped us off at The Bell in Chittlehampton, a superb pub, then picked us up on their way back to the site - phew!

Mini-adventure completed: highly recommended 💪
