There must almost certainly be life somewhere in the universe as it is so big with trillions and trillions of stars.

But the chance of intelligent finding us in our tiny solar system and within the tiny fraction of time we have existed makes it impossible to find them.

Aliens somewhere outside our solar system? Yeah, why not? Probably, even

Will we ever get to know that they exist, meet them, see them and have cool Star Trek adventures with them? Big fat no. Not ever. So it doesn't really matter if they exist or not because we'll never know.

Microbes on the moons of Jupiter or Saturn or somewhere like that? Not impossible.

Very liekly life has or will be out there. Intelligent capable of telecoms? Very unlikely. And the chances of existing during our existence becomes very small. The mistake must make is that life will go on and on. Humans will have a few tens of thousands years as will other life forms. That’s a vansihlgy small window to be around at the same time

The idea that "technology" or "intelligence" is some kind of inevitability is really unimaginative. It's just looking in the mirror. It makes as much sense to say that Y Fronts are an inevitable feature of life.

The Earth has been here for 4.5 billion years, give or a day or two either way. There's been life on Earth for around 3.5 billion years. For the first 3 billion years that life was just pond life. Only over the last half a billion years have anything capable moving about developed. Humans have been around only for 3 million years. We only learnt to use radio waves a hundred and twenty ish years ago. We only started going into space around 70 years ago. To think we will meet another form of life that's at the same level of development as us is I think pushing it.

There is the mundanity theory of life. Yes there is intelligent life in the universe and indeed the Milky Way. However, their level of technology is not much greater than ours. Once they'd thoroughly explored their local neighbourhood, realised they couldn’t reach other stars in their lifetimes, they got bored and no longer look to the stars. It’s a bit like the fall of Rome, non stop alien orgies.

I think they were here and once we started out the main group left leaving behind only a small group to keep an eye on us

Unfortunately, the instruction they left for the group keeping an eye on us has a spelling mistake

it was Annual inspections for Pete's sake ANNUAL!!

I work with one alien. All year round he wears short-sleeved shirt and always complains how it's too hot. Even when it's -7'C outside and I sat in the office with 2 fleeces on and a heater under the desk.

Women are from Venus, men from Mars. Explains the tolerance to different temperatures.

Don't really feel the heat, or the cold for that matter. Worked outside in a still air temperature of minus 10°C a few times.

Aliens live amongst us, at the risk of going all 'David Icke' how else do you explain how ugly Elon Musk is and Donald the Dweeb  not to mention the Royals "Oh we must maintain the bloodline" and countless others..................'people' who have no shred of humanity or common decency.

Does anyone else remember 'V' (the 1st series not the crap remake)
