If you watch the first series of the Goodies, they had a two seater with a third seat welded on, over the back wheel. You also see that it rarely went more than a couple of yards before falling over - since Bill Oddie was sitting behind the rear hub, it affected the balance a fair bit!

Obviously, in later series, they had the cash for a proper triplet...

Is it wise to give the person at the back access to brakes?

Even our wholesalers don't have rear brake cables that long.

You've studied this in detail, haven't you! :becool:

BTW. Monsieur Hilldodger... I dare you to fit it with spd pedals! Imagine the co-ordinated unclipping that would be necessary.;)

I really like the brake setup, but I can't see who's got the gear lever(s)?

ed: And everyone gets their own bell!

Slightly OT...

There is a superb book by Rory Spowers caled "Three men on a bike"

They took the 1930s frame that the Goodies made famous and cycled it the length of the African Continent!

Fine reading, especially the history of the bike.

great.

do you use it often, or is it just a showground plaything?

are you going to fit a computer, to know the max speed?

are you taking it to nottingham 25/5 ?
