I'm new to this forum lark so am probably breaking all kinds of protocols just barging with a new topic. If I am, soz.

Anyway, I have just got hold of a cycle computer and think i have managed to work out it is a Cyclepro Mentor 8.

However, I have no idea what to do with it. Have had a fiddle with a couple of the buttons but not very intuitive at all.

Does anyone out there have a manual for this one (I think it's available from Argos so if you bought one from there, there's a good chance it's this one). If anyone does, any chance you can scan it in and post on here.

Thanks in advance.

... new to posting?

Hello and welcome, Cyco!

You'll soon get the hang of this! It's a good forum to hang out on. Lots to learn and laugh about!

I can't help you with your bike computer question, as I've been trying to suss my one out for ages! ;)

I can pedal, but I'm not too technical.

Someone else will be here along in a mo to help you out!

I ride a Trek 4400 MTB to work (through a forest) and have a Scott hybrid which I use for touring/longer rides. I keep a Specialized 'hack' bike at me mum's in England.
Would like to get a Specialized Langster (fixed) and a Scott Speedster (road bike) when the time's right.
What about you? .

I am not as serious a rider as you seem to be. I started riding to the station to get to work about a year ago. About 4 miles each way. I was riding a cheap old mountain bike that I bought about 10 years ago. Load of rubbish but it never let me down.

Anyway, I have recently upgraded and got a bike through my company's cycle to work scheme. I ended up going for a Hybrid - Specialized Sirrus Comp and I absolutely love it. Never knew bikes could feel so good.

Also, because the schme is a government tax saving initiative, what is effectively a £700 bike is costing me approx. £250 spread over 12 months.

I now want to start doing some longer rides.

Result!;)
