Licensing cycles and cyclists is very big solution to a very minor problem. Cyclists do not create mayhem on the roads despite what the Daily Mail and others suggest. The main advantage of this proposal is to remove the classic driver whinge that we cyclists get away with poor cycling. Sorry, but this proposal is barking and completely unworkable.
It was just a thought, I never realised how complicated it could be? I thought it would have been beneficial to just be able to identify thats all, never mind eh:thumbsup:

You are taking this far too seriously.

LOL, you are probably correct and I did not read the intervening pages. I much prefer the idea of the football strip styled numbers. Presumably, if your shirt needed a wash, you could borrow your wife's shirt. ^_^

Sounds dead easy duntit. And ten you sit down & realise just what is involved. Then you start to realise that maybe its not such a good idea after all.

I got hit by a car, driven by someone other than the registered owner. But it wasn't their insurance that paid out. Driver was uninsured & no licence either. The best I could hope fore was for the owner to name the driver, or I take action against them.

Go after the innocent party, not the guilty! not fair is it, but then neither is life.
