Last time I lent a bike to my wife I had to fit a taller stem, change the saddle, the pedals, and the tyres.

Ahhhh I forgot that number plates immediately identified the person driving the vehicle. It's not like cars get stollen or driven by people without insurance.

This is true, but the majority of them do get caught dont you agree, or is it a waste of time to have motor vehicles licenced too?

For the more compliant who have real plates, are the registered keeper, own and insure the vehicle registrations work. There is however a sizeable population who don't do those things and getting to grips with them is much more important than pissing me off.

There is a certain amount of people who always find ways to fiddle the system, does that mean we should not bother with any licencing?

But then we would have to do without helmets or wear them at that jaunty back of the head angle like you see some people wear them.
