No not at the same time but rather using my bike to go fishing.
Last time I fished I was 11 fifty five years ago and I am thinking of taking it up again so I am wondering whether its possible take enough equipment on my bike to do it.
I ask because it now seems so much more complicated and involves using far much more tackle than back in my Hucklebury Finn days.

A telescopic rod would be easier to carry on a bike

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Yep. Another one for telescopic rod, a small box with spare hooks and line, and bait. It all depends on what type of fishing you want to do. Carp? Wouldn't be suitable to do that, as lots of bait would be needed. Just small fish it would be ok.

Strap the rod to the top tube, or the crossbar as it used to be known. 12' rod in 3 sections is only 4' in it's bag.
Rucksack or satchel with baitbox, some hooks, weights, floats, ledgers and a collapsible landing net.
Best bit is you're mobile, so you can find the fish rather than bunging cwts of groundbait in and getting bored waiting.

Did that myself when I was a lad, prefer the telescopic, set up ready to go before you leave and easy to hide if the game keeper comes a calling.

Telescopic rods are fine but i was told back in the day that the more sections a rod has, the weaker it is. So i guess it all depends on thr type of fishing and the size of fish being targeted

Carried my Hardy on the top tube and it is a three piece. Fly fishing is the way forwards as far as not needing to tow huge amounts around.

When I was a kid living in Totnes, we would cycle in at low tide to get a bit of bait with a garden fork attached to the bike. It was amazing how much space cars gave you back then!

I have never caught anything over a couple of pounds so cant comment, the last time I went I casted in, got drunk, fell asleep, woke up and reeled in and went home.

I carry full coarse setup on my tourer and Trice.
Reels, terminal tackle etc and bait in panniers, Rods (in tubes), poles, net handles and rod rests in panniers vertically with lids pulled to one side, these are then bungied / strapped to the rack and each other. Fold out chair on the top of the rack.

Not pretty buy effective enough. I'll take a pic next time I go.
