Cycling backwards!

[All uphill]

I just accidentally discovered that the freewheel on the bike I am building can go on the wrong way, allowing backwards pedalling and forwards freewheeling!

Anyone ever used this ability?

You could always try to beat the world record which I believe is around 1km and you wouldn’t have to face the other way.

If you had two freewheels working in opposite directions then you could build a 2-speed retro-direct system

As kids we used to sit on our handlebars, pedal & ride backwards, don't ever remember it ending well

Yeah I used to do that. I ran over a mate when he challenged me to a race where he ran and I pedalled backwards.
