Short version, I was overweight, had a major attack that I almost died from, and my doctor and therapist gave me a choice of being homebound with a bag attached to me or getting an exercie program. I also dropped from 260 to 120(due to the surgery) So I took up cycling as a last choice and found out that I highly enjoyed it.

Now I am biking every day (reasonable conditions).

I can do 25 miles fun races with little effort and the weight issue, got myself a Trek Bike (Domain AL 5) and been loving it.

Greetings and welcome.

Following a stroke last year I've dropped from 290lbs to 222lbs at 6'4" though sheer willpower and lots of finger wagging from the wife. A 140lb drop is a helluva achievement so its only right that you're nkw enjoying the benefits.
