Cycling holidays

I`ve decided to book up on a little 5 day cycling break in Scotland, anybody done any similar trips and can tell me a bit about them - are they worth doing etc??

Brave enough to organise your own?? There are a lot of Scotland fans here who can suggest a tour for you and you'd save a fortune. Organised trips tend to be expensive.

It is only really worth it if you need to rent bikes, even then I would be inclined to just rent the bike and do my own thing...

My last tour this May was for 16 people, staying in hotels, B and B's and hostels for two nights, that came to £213 for seven nights with one night using a Hilton. I think that was the most expensive tour I have set up so far, generally I get a week in at about £170. The nice bit about group trips, (if it is a group trip you are in) is that you can pick up lots of ideas from other folk. If not, any cycle break to scotland is generally good idea.
