Cycling in Belgium

Hi everyone, I'm new on here.

I was thinking about setting up a service for you Brits who want to come over to Belgium and ride on the roads of the Tour of Flanders, Liege-Bastogne-Liege, Paris-Roubaix and Amstel Gold Race (allright, technically, those last two aren't in Belgium but they're very close). I've been riding on those roads for umpteen years and know them very well.

I was wondering what everyone would most look forward to doing on such a trip. A long weekend with Flanders on the Saturday and Liege on the Sunday ? Stroll around in the Tour of Flanders museum in Oudenaarde after the trip ? How would you prefer to travel (I would think car on the Eurostar is the most obvious) ?

Also more than happy to take some volunteers who want to come over and serve as guinea pigs.

Let me know what you think, very interested to hear your opinions.

Chuck in a trip or two to a brewery and you could be on to a winner!

Ah, that's a great idea. I know a brewery which is pretty centrally located and also acts as a hotel. So it could be : arrive on the Friday evening and stay in the brewery/hotel, cycling in Ardennes on Saturday, dinner and tasting session at the brewery/hotel, cycling on the cobbles of Flanders on Sunday, final night at the hotel and back to the UK on monday.

Does that seems like a plan ? Just wondering what is best for travel ? Will most want to come over by car on the ferry or Eurostar ? Would you skip the Sunday night hotel then and go straight from the Flanders ride to the station/harbour ?

Or will most come over on the night-ferry so you would suffice with just the 1 night in the hotel ?

I'd like to ride around the battlefields......so combining a cycle tour with a miltary guide and warm DRY accomodation would make a really cool weekend/week mini tour I think.
