Cycling in Exeter

Hello! I'm a new member from Girona (Catalonia-Spain) and I'm going to live in Exeter for the next 4 month. Which types of cycling are more practiced in Exeter (road cycling, mtb, cyclocross..). Are there facilities for rides and groups of cyclists? You recomend me to bring my bike with me in Exeter or leave it in spain?
