Hi All,

First time poster here. My brother and I are planning to cycle round Snowdonia for a couple of days soon and are looking for some information on routes to take. We want to cycle for 3 days doing around 50-70 miles a day. We would like to do a loop and possibly take in the supposed steepest climb in Wales, Bwylch y Groes. We would also like to park up somewhere and take in a morning climb to the top of Snowdonia. We would like stay in B&B's on the way

Please let me know your thoughts on this, whether it's possible and if there are any favoured routes in the area!

Many thanks in advance for your information and help.

Ross.

Coming soon: Bonking on a hill near you!
Doing the Bwlch y Groes in August, absolutely bricking it!

Good luck!

Have a look on ridewithgps there are plenty of routes/rides people have done in Snowdonia on there. A good resource and you can download the tcx files if you use a GPS.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Have a look at Coed Y Brenin as well. It s a cycling centre based in Dolgellau. You can find them on the internet. Looks like a great place. I think that is the correct spelling anyway.

agreed worth visiting the dolg what not we go there every year now with caravan  anything and everything is possible just knowing wales and that area 70 mles with those sort of climbs isn't really nice for most but nothing wrong with a challenge! maybe post in the new members section saying hi?
Cheers Ed

Great, thank you so much for the help. The 'ridewithgps' site is particularly useful! Definitely saving it for a few months time but want to get some en-route b&b's booked early.

Thanks again!
