Does anybody subscribe to any of the popular cycling mags..was looking at cycling plus, can anybody recommend one thats worth getting into a monthly direct debit for.
cheers Dean

Depends on what type of rider you are or aspire to be.
If a roadie and aspire to Elite, cycling plus.
I stopped mine and was to switch to cycling active but apparently it's not worth it, so I left it at that.

I'm planning on subscribing to Cycling Plus once they offer a decent free gift!

Cycling Weekly is worth a look if you want to pay a bit more, and it has a bit of everything.

Cycling Active is a bit dull, but worth a look if you're looking for diet / fitness info. Cycling Fitness is quarterly, and much the same.

I tend to pick up Cycling Active and Cycling Plus if the cover looks interesting. I seem to be outside their catchment though in that I ride an expensive bike but don't give a s*** about my diet.

I subscribe to Cycle Sport which I quite like. It got a bit crud about 3 years ago so I cancelled but it's raised it's game again now.

you must be joking..??

C+ is the cyclng equivalent of 'Top Gear' magazine; marketing-led nonsense aimed at born-again MAMILs and sportive riders, and written by people pretending to be cyclists - with the exception of Jeff Jones, who is a respectable tester (in as much as any tester can be respectable).

There isn't a decent cycle mag any more, tbh - Cycling Weekly used to be good, but I stopped buying it when they stopped covering (and therefore supporting) grass roots club events.

Seriously, save your money and don't buy any of them.

Just cancelled my sub to both active and plus, no doubt swmbo will take out a subscription when the free gift and saving outweigh the cost:thumbsup:

I'd go for Cycling Plus or Cycling Weekly, all the others seem to have lots of superfluous material.

I have Cycling Active, first year with a freebie, latest subs were 2 years for 1, doubt I'll bother again as I don't need more bikes / kit but it's an ok read in the bath

I just buy them when there is something interesting in them, otherwise i dont bother.

The MTB mags are even worse than the road based ones.

C activve can be ok, but all are pricey.

Save your money
Why pay for a bunch of adverts and biased opinions ?
Google or Cycle Chat for info and good honest advice

I used to get them all. Then i found that the magazines repeat each others articles and the pages and pages of adverts put me off.
