What I find interesting is the attention given to his mode of transport. How is that relevant?

He hasn't been banned from these areas..he has been banned from cycling/pushing a bike through these areas. Completly relevant.

Bizarre. I'm sure he only selected victims he felt would not fight back or did not pose a threat to him. If he had attacked 40 people at random I'm sure a few of those could have given him a good kicking in return.

Newspaper comment sites are always good for a laugh. You get the ones with an agenda who HAVE to cram it in, no matter how unrelated to the story it might be ..

I am now telling my children after doing their bit at Uni to leave this country at the first chance. I believe there is No hope left for right minded people here in this country any more because of mindless acts like this by the courts, what hope is there now left?

Like a lot of cyclists, this guy clearly has an attitude problem, they seem to think the pavement belongs to them when it dosnt.

As User stated, it's bizarre that people driving tons of metal at peds etc and intimidating them are not dealt with as harshly by magistrates.
